MEASURING GUIDE

Important disclaimer

  • For accurate measurements, use a soft measuring tape only..
  • Take measurements from non-stretch (no elastane) jeans. If you only have stretch denim, allow extra ease in your measurements.
  • If your jeans tend to tighten after washing, wear them briefly before taking measurements.
  • Please follow the instructions carefully. The accuracy of the measurements directly affects the final result of our work together.

1. Waist

Lay the jeans flat on an even surface. Button them up and align the waistband perfectly in half, making sure the front rise does not sag. Measure straight across the top edge of the waistband.

If the waistband is difficult to align evenly, slightly rotate it to the side or measure along the inside of the waistband instead.

This is the most important measurement — take extra care.

2. Front Rise

Measure from the crotch seam to the top edge of the waistband along the front panel.

3. Back Rise

Measure from the crotch seam to the top edge of the waistband along the back panel.

4. Thigh

Measure the width of the leg from edge to edge at the crotch line. Hold the measuring tape at a 90° angle to the leg.

5. Hips

Lay the jeans flat on an even surface.

From the crotch line, measure 10 cm straight up, perpendicular to it.

At this level, measure the hip width from edge to edge, keeping the tape parallel to the waistband.

6. Inseam

Lay the jeans on the floor and straighten the leg completely. Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg opening.

If needed, add extra length for cuffs or hemming.

7. Outseam

Measure from the top edge of the waistband to the bottom of the leg opening along the side seam.

If necessary, include additional length for cuffs.

8. Bottom of the leg (Hem)

Measure straight across the leg opening. Make sure the fabric is laid flat to avoid any folds or “bumps.”
